Taking Care of the Baby Bump
I love being a mother. My kids are the best, most amazing blessings in my life and I can’t wait until our baby girl arrives to make us a family of five.
While I do have fun indulging all of my food cravings (I can’t get enough of sour cherries and cinnamon gummy bears!), I make sure to take really good care of my body in other ways. First and foremost: keeping my growing baby bump moisturized to prevent stretch marks. My regimen is to gently exfoliate my belly once a week in the shower, and then after I dry off, I take my time massaging lotion (for the daytime) or an oil (for night) on my skin. For all of my pregnancies, I’ve had my go-to products and they are still my favorites.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter
—
I love so many of the formulas from Palmer’s, from the Tummy Butter enriched with collagen, Argan oil, elastin, and shea butter; to the Massage Lotion which both help improve my skin’s elasticity and reduces the appearance of those pesky stretch marks during and after pregnancy.
Sonya Dakar Body Oil
—
I rub this body oil all over my body after a bath. It uses botanical and essential oils to help soothe, hydrate, and nourish my body without making it feel oily.
Hatch Mama Belly Oil
—
I love the way this oil smells—a mixture of calendula and sweet almond—and the fact that it keeps my belly calm, cool, and not itchy. I use the dropper to put a small amount into my palms, rub my hands together, and then massage into the areas that feel extra stretched out. Pure bliss.
Epicuren Pro Collagen and Mama Mio Boob Tube
—
Don’t forget about those boobies! I use this each night to help my sensitive skin stay perky during this growing time.
